Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must possess basic computational ability
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Food Handlers' Certification is required

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • Some college preferred
  • At least one year of experience as a server in a fine dining environment
  • Prior club experience preferred
  • Food Handlers' Certification
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computational ability
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items, their preparation, ingredients and service

Job Duties

  • Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests using suggestive selling techniques as appropriate
  • Clear tables during service
  • Control guest checks and secure proper payment/signature
  • Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned for both dining room and private events
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas, service stations and servicing equipment
  • Describe all menu items, prices, and methods of preparation to members
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to encourage members to choose specialty items
