Job Requirements
- Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
- Age 18 years or older or proper work permit
- Background clearances as required by regulations
- Complete health screening and provide negative TB test results
- Basic counting and communication skills
- Ability to operate serving equipment
- Mindfulness about resource use and minimizing waste
- Ability to interact professionally with residents and guests
- Completion of dining room training
- Compliance with state regulatory requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 40 plus pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, push and pull
- Ability to follow grooming and dress standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and operate serving equipment such as salad bar cart and trays
- Basic counting skills for tracking meals and residents
- Ability to maintain tactful and professional interactions
- Completion of dining room training course with CCG
- Familiarity with state specific regulatory requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions
Job Duties
- Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members, and visitors courteously and professionally
- Assist residents with meal and menu selections as requested
- Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables
- Review residents dietary needs as outlined by supervisor
- Track resident attendance at meals and relay information
- Greet and seat residents properly, integrating new residents
- Ensure clean and sanitary dining areas and proper food handling
- Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, team members, and guests
- Aid in community marketing through positive interactions and professional appearance
- Serve, clean, and reset tables, returning dishes to kitchen
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or executive director
- Clean and stock dining and food service areas including condiments
- Cooperate with other kitchen and dining services to ensure positive dining experiences
- Report safety or equipment issues to supervisor
