Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- previous serving experience required
- knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws - Title 4
- must be at least 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages with meals
- beverage (cocktail) and pool servers must be at least 21 years of age
- must possess Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
- must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- must maintain up-to-date knowledge of Credit Card (PCI) Compliance and Title 31 regulations through required training
- must attend bi-annual Arizona state liquor law training
- ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- good verbal and written communication skills
- must have a pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- previous serving experience
- related experience in medium to high volume restaurant strongly preferred
- knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws - Title 4
- working knowledge of electronic point of sale (POS) systems
- must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages at pool
- polite and pleasant personality
- excellent customer service skills
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to follow verbal and written instruction
- team player with a positive attitude and well-groomed appearance
- ability to uphold the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism
- commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity
- willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
- basic computer skills preferred for specific roles
- experience using InfoGenesis is a plus for room service positions.
Job Duties
- Ensures excellent customer service for every guest, every time
- greets guests, presents menu, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food and beverages
- writes order on check or memorizes it
- relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars
- garnishes and decorates dishes prior to serving, if required
- observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- acts immediately on all customer comments to ensure that corrections are made
- totals bill and accepts payment or refers patron to cashier
- sets up and supplies the beverage area with clean glassware, utensils, condiments and paper supplies if necessary
- removes soiled glassware and utensils from table and counter tops
- makes coffee as needed
- adds ice and changes soft drink containers
- maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards
- responsible for renewal of Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
- ensures designated work areas, flatware, glasses, dinner ware and other items used to serve customers are free from hazards
- attends bi-annual Arizona state liquor law training
- properly executes bottle service according to mandated steps of service
- maintains knowledge and compliance with Credit Card (PCI) standards and Title 31 federal regulations
- observes and reports suspicious activity related to PCI and Title 31 compliance.
