Job Duties

  • Provides an enjoyable dining experience for residents while maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment
  • reports upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of the Masonic Village residents
  • completes meal service duties in a courteous and timely manner as assigned by supervisor in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures
  • sets dining room including table layout, place setting, and centerpiece while demonstrating knowledge of table assignments, numbers, and locations
  • uses chemicals, cleaning agents, and equipment safely and effectively in accordance with food safety regulations
  • uses best practices related to safe and sanitary handling, preparation, storage, and service of foods including proper hand washing, wearing gloves, changing gloves frequently, maintaining a clean uniform, sanitizing work surfaces and tools, proper dating, labeling, and rotation of food products
