Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in restaurant or hospitality service
  • alcohol beverage certification
  • food safety certification
  • legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to perform repetitive motions
  • ability to work in hot, humid, and noisy environment
  • availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Setup side stations and perform assigned side prep work
  • provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
  • ensure children are safely seated
  • distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
  • fill glasses with ice water and suggest menu items
  • ensure correct account numbers and names for billing
  • efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner
  • place orders with kitchen and inform cooks of special instructions
  • assemble food on tray and procure items from stations as necessary
  • serve meals and place dishes by courses
  • check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction
  • replenish water and butter as necessary
  • remove soiled dishes and clear tables after each course
  • present dessert menus and serve dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks
  • verify accuracy of prices, taxes, tips, and other charges
  • present the bill
  • handle cash and credit card charges
  • keep dining room and bus station areas clean
  • clear, clean, and reset tables
  • advise supervisor of complaints promptly
  • perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned
  • attend pre-meal meetings
  • turn in signed tip declaration form weekly
  • thank members and guests and invite them to return
  • consistently follow local and state laws and club policies for serving alcoholic beverages
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
