Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, communicate in and interpret English at a functional level
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide using fractions, whole numbers and decimals
  • Hold a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
  • Adhere to CRISTA dress code
  • Follow CRISTA Ministries’ policies, procedures and doctrines

  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, residents and their families

  • Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader

  • Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience
  • Holds a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit

Job Duties

  • Promptly take food orders from the residents and deliver to the kitchen and then deliver the ordered food to the resident in a timely and courteous manner
  • Know and follow the Principles of Correct Service
  • Know and follow proper food handling and infection control techniques to maintain the dining room in a sanitary and orderly condition
  • Bus tables and support the dining room staff
  • Clean and reset the dining room tables by following the table setting standards
  • Prepare garnishes and condiments as assigned
  • Restock dining room table supplies as assigned
  • Perform all assigned nightly cleaning tasks or side jobs as designated by the dining room supervisor or food service manager
  • Train new wait staff as assigned
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Communicate with residents and customers in person and by phone
  • Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, residents and their families
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
