Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience with food production and service, sanitation, and safety
  • ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • ability to lift residents with assistance over 100 pounds
  • available evenings and weekends
  • ability to work independently and as a team
  • must demonstrate compassion and excellent customer service
  • knowledge of hazardous material safety protocols
  • good organizational and leadership abilities
  • able to manage stressful situations effectively

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food production and service, sanitation, and safety
  • previous supervisory experience is a plus
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • compassionate attitude towards elderly
  • knowledge of hazardous material safety data sheets
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • excellent organizational, motivational, and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • oversees meal service coverage and communicates with community leadership
  • assists in training health services staff on food service policies and procedures
  • attends required staff meetings
  • directs resident, family, and guest feedback to leadership
  • completes pre-service and post-service tasks and delegates to health services staff
  • assigns tables and sections to staff to ensure timely service
  • supervises cleaning and preparation of dining areas to maintain restaurant-style appearance
  • resets tables, linens, and stocks condiments
  • ensures drink stations and salad bars are properly set
  • takes and serves meal orders using excellent customer service skills
  • monitors drink service to meet residents and guests requests
  • manages guest reservations and prepares private dining areas
  • ensures cleaning checklists and duties are completed
  • sets up and delivers room trays as needed
  • maintains confidentiality of resident information and supports resident rights
  • maintains professional appearance and fosters a positive customer service environment
  • performs other duties as assigned
