Job Requirements
- Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
- age over 18 years or have proper work permit and authorization documentation
- background clearances as required by government regulations
- complete health screening and provide negative TB test results within last 6 months or within 7 days of employment
- basic counting skills as required by the position
- good communication skills
- ability to operate serving equipment
- mindful use of resources and supplies minimizing waste
- ability to deal tactfully and professionally with all stakeholders
- must complete dining room training with CCG
- meet state regulatory requirements
- able to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, perform repetitive motions
- able to move intermittently throughout the workday and community
- ability to lift/carry 40 plus lbs
Job Qualifications
- Good communication skills including ability to speak, write, understand and read English
- ability to operate standard serving equipment such as salad bar cart, trays and heating carts
- completion of dining room training course with CCG
- ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the public
- must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements
Job Duties
- Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner
- assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested
- use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
- review residents dietary needs as outlined by supervisor
- track resident attendance at meals and provide information timely
- ensure all residents are greeted and seated properly, integrating new residents
- ensure a clean sanitary dining area and comply with policies on food handling and serving
- display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, team members and guests
- aid in community marketing through positive interactions, dress and behavior
- serve, clean, reset tables, return dishes to kitchen
- other duties as assigned by supervisors or executive director designee
- clean and set up dining and food service areas including stocking condiments
- cooperate and assist with kitchen and dining services
- report safety or equipment issues to supervisor
