Job Requirements
- Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn
- Age over 18 years or proper work permit and authorization documentation
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results within last 6 months or 7 days of employment
- Basic counting skills as required by the position
- Good communication skills
- Ability to operate serving equipment
- Mindfulness regarding the use of resources and minimizing waste
- Ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with others
- Completion of dining room training with CCG
- Compliance with state regulatory requirements
- Must be mobile and physically able to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift/carry 40+ lbs, push and pull carts
Job Qualifications
- Good communication skills including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English
- Ability to operate standard serving equipment such as salad bar carts and trays
- Ability to tactfully and professionally interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public
- Completion of dining room training course with CCG
- Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements
Job Duties
- Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner
- Assist residents with meal/menu selections as requested
- Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
- Review residents dietary needs as outlined by supervisor
- Track resident attendance at meals and provide information to appropriate personnel
- Ensure all residents are greeted and seated properly and integrate new residents
- Ensure a clean sanitary dining area and comply with food handling policies
- Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, team members, and guests
- Aid in community marketing efforts through positive interactions and proper dress
- Serve, clean, and reset tables and return dishes to kitchen
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
- Clean and set up dining and food service areas including stocking condiments
- Cooperate and assist with kitchen and dining services
- Report safety or equipment issues to supervisor
