Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a server in an upscale hotel or restaurant
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State-certified alcohol compliance training (ABC/RBS)
  • Valid California Food Handler’s Card
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Capability to carry trays and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment during peak hours
  • Willingness to participate in pre-shift meetings and service training

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of server experience preferably in upscale hotels or restaurants
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State-Certified Alcohol Compliance Training (ABC/RBS)
  • CA Food Handler’s Card
  • Proven experience in luxury hotel restaurants or fine dining establishments (5+ years preferred)
  • Knowledge of formal service standards and fine dining etiquette
  • Certified sommelier credentials preferred
  • Polished professional presence and communication skills
  • Mastery of synchronized service techniques
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairing principles
  • Expertise in formal place settings and service ware
  • Understanding of classic European service standards
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide discreet service
  • Knowledge of spirits, craft cocktails, and premium beverages
  • Mastery of champagne service and formal wine presentation

Job Duties

  • Orchestrate seamless dining experiences through sophisticated service choreography
  • Guide guests through the curated menu and wine program with expert knowledge
  • Execute proper wine service including decanting and temperature presentation
  • Maintain immaculate table maintenance and proper place setting arrangements
  • Provide attentive and personalized guest service anticipating their needs
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and support staff for efficient service
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing service training sessions
