Job Requirements

Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public
Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families

Job Duties

Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
Distribute and collect menus as necessary
Take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu
Follow sanitary regulations at all times
Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience
Set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served
Assist in checking resident trays before distribution
Pour hot and cold beverages for residents and assist residents with opening containers and condiments as needed
Prepare and deliver snacks to special events and parties hosted at the community
Bus tables during and after meals
Provide support services to other dining rooms during events and activities as needed
Clean dining room area according to cleaning schedules and assignments
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
