Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to carry trays and lift up to 30 pounds
- Valid food handling certificate if required
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to handle and move objects
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 30 lbs and 15 lbs often
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders when setting up events
- Set up banquet functions including linens, dishware, glassware and silverware
- Serve meals to guests or replenish food to the buffet line
- Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages and check guest ID to verify age
- Carry meals on a tray
- Set up and maintain food and beverage stations consistent with OVG standards
- Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed
- Clear dishes, glassware and silverware when guests are done
- Refill salt, pepper, sugar, creamer, condiments and napkins
- Replace tableware and linens as necessary
- Participate in both set up and clean up of events
- Work individually and with a team
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Demonstrate punctual attendance
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management
