Job Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- No formal education required
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Ability to memorize and apply service standards and menu knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and courteously
- Basic math skills for handling guest remittance and server banking
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
Job Duties
- Provide promptly, efficient, courteous service to all guests
- Greet, seat, talk and serve orders efficiently
- Take guest remittance as required
- Clear dishes and reset tables promptly
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests
- Execute the Service Guidelines per the IHOP SOP to ensure high-quality guest experience
- Handle guest complaints professionally, courteously, and promptly
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge
- Comply with SOP methods for guest checks and server banking
- Stock and rotate needed supplies in service areas and dining room
- Comply with all local and SOP health, sanitation, and safety guidelines
