Job Requirements
- Partial high school education
- food safety certification
- alcohol service TIPS/ MAST certification
- ability to stand for entire workday
- ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs occasionally
- ability to understand and speak English clearly
- ability to use a food service POS system
- strong customer service skills

- strong sanitation habits and attention to detail
- food safety certification
- alcohol service TIPS/ MAST certification required
- national park food service experience preferred
- ability to learn and use food service POS system including computerized cash register and credit card terminal

- ability to recognize and solve guest problems or communicate to management when needed
Job Duties
- Greet guests promptly and politely
- answer questions about the menu
- take food and beverage orders
- explain how various items are prepared
- describe ingredients and cooking methods
- suggest menu items
- check patron identification to ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage service requirements
- maintain pleasant dining experience by serving food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner
- check on guests regularly
- communicate with the kitchen
- attend to guest needs
- carry plates, glassware, and trays to and from tables in manner prescribed by management
- complete sales in POS in an accurate, efficient and friendly manner
- complete all side-work including stocking service areas with coffee, food, tableware, and linens
- perform setup and clean-up duties before and after each meal service including vacuuming, arranging furniture, and changing linens
- report gratuities at the end of each shift as required by company policy and law
- perform such other related duties as directed or required
