Job Requirements

  • Provide a minimum of 2 years full service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Know menu and specials
  • Know wine list
  • Know liquor list and special drinks
  • Understand accounting procedures
  • Know layout of restaurant including table and station numbers
  • Understand individual restaurant orientation materials including rules and philosophies
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Be courteous, pleasant and good natured
  • Respond to difficult guests with patience and courtesy
  • Accept constructive criticism
  • Get along with co workers
  • Provide a clean, well manicured persona reflecting restaurant image
  • Stand and walk for entire shift
  • Safely transport food from kitchen to guest table over slick, uneven surfaces
  • Transport food to service a party of 4 in a single trip
  • Transport food and beverage items continually throughout a shift
  • Safely move about in all restaurant areas
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu and specials
  • Familiarity with wine list and liquor offerings
  • Understanding of accounting procedures
  • Awareness of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Ability to follow restaurant rules and philosophies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders
  • Serve food and beverages to guests
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with service
  • Work collaboratively with front of house team
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas
  • Address guest inquiries and requests politely
  • Handle guest issues with patience and courtesy
