Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu and specials
  • Knowledge of wine list
  • Knowledge of liquor list and special drinks
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Familiarity with individual restaurant orientation including rules and philosophies
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
  • Respond to difficult guests with patience and courtesy
  • Accept constructive criticism
  • Get along with co-workers
  • Maintain a clean, well-manicured appearance that reflects the restaurant's image
  • Stand and walk for entire shifts
  • Safely transport food over slick and uneven surfaces
  • Transport food for parties of 4 in a single trip
  • Continuously transport food and beverages throughout shift
  • Safely move about all areas of the restaurant
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu items and specials
  • Familiarity with wine and liquor lists including special drinks
  • Understanding of restaurant accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Familiarity with individual restaurant orientation materials, rules, and philosophies
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Demonstrated patience and courtesy when dealing with difficult guests
  • Ability to work well with co-workers and accept constructive criticism
  • Capable of standing and walking for entire shifts

Job Duties

  • Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests
  • Maintain professionalism and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Accurately balance all sales and receipts
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen staff verbally and via computer register system
  • Present and promote current menu specials and promotional materials
  • Accurately record and account for all items ordered and served
  • Process payments and notify guests of automatic gratuity
  • Handle multiple tasks under pressure calmly
  • Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and courteously
  • Perform duties according to established service procedures
