Job Requirements

  • Two years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • knowledge of menu and specials
  • knowledge of wine list
  • knowledge of liquor list and special drinks
  • understanding of accounting procedures
  • familiarity with restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • knowledge of individual restaurant rules and philosophies
  • punctuality in meeting schedule requirements
  • courteous, pleasant and good natured
  • patience and courtesy with difficult guests
  • acceptance of constructive criticism
  • ability to get along with coworkers
  • maintaining a clean and well manicured persona
  • ability to stand and walk entire shift
  • ability to safely transport food over uneven surfaces
  • ability to transport food for a party of four in a single trip
  • ability to safely move around the restaurant
  • willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must provide a minimum of two years full-service restaurant experience or the equivalent
  • knowledge of menu and specials
  • knowledge of wine list
  • knowledge of liquor list and special drinks
  • understanding of accounting procedures
  • familiarity with the layout of restaurant including table numbers and station numbers
  • knowledge of individual restaurant orientation material including rules and philosophies
  • ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • ability to be courteous, pleasant and good natured
  • ability to respond to the needs of difficult guests with patience and courtesy
  • ability to accept constructive criticism
  • ability to get along with co-workers
  • ability to provide a clean, well manicured persona that reflects the established image of the restaurant
  • able to stand and walk for an entire shift
  • able to safely transport food from kitchen to guest table over slick, uneven surfaces
  • able to transport food to service a party of four in a single trip
  • able to transport food and beverage items continually throughout a shift
  • able to safely move about in all areas of the restaurant
  • available to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Effectively service a six table station
  • accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts
  • communicate clearly with the kitchen both verbally and utilizing the computer register system
  • present and encourage current promotional information and materials to guests
  • accurately account for all guest checks issued
  • accurately record and account for all items ordered and served
  • accurately accept payment from guests
  • notify guests of any automatic gratuity
  • perform calmly under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and courteously
  • perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of service according to standing operating procedure
