Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand walk and carry food trays for extended periods
  • Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
  • Present menus make recommendations and answer questions about menu items specials and dietary restrictions
  • Accurately take and process customer orders using the point-of-sale system
  • Serve food and beverages promptly ensuring that plates are prepared and garnished according to IHOP standards
  • Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area including tables chairs and service stations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions processing payments according to company policies
  • Follow all safety sanitation and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the food service industry
