  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • able to obtain any required permits or certifications
  • previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • ability to stand walk and carry trays for extended periods
  • flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
  • present menus make recommendations and answer questions about menu items specials and dietary restrictions
  • accurately take and process customer orders using our point-of-sale POS system
  • serve food and beverages promptly ensuring that plates are prepared and garnished according to IHOP standards
  • check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area including tables chairs and service stations
  • collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
  • handle cash and credit card transactions processing payments according to company policies
  • follow all safety sanitation and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the food service industry
