Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED preferred
- recent experience as a server or bartender in an upscale dining establishment with alcohol and wine service
- must be 18 years of age or older
- no felony, theft or stealing convictions
- must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- must pass background investigation
- must obtain and maintain a gaming license
- knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations
- knowledge of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law)
- knowledge of cash handling
- knowledge of restaurant menu, bar items, liquors and pricing
- knowledge of up selling and suggestive selling
- ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
- ability to obtain TIPS certification
- ability to successfully pass departmental testing
- ability to communicate, read and write in basic English
- ability to provide outstanding guest service
- ability to work under stressful and busy environment
- ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining excellent service
- skill in providing customer service
- skill in operating POS systems
- must have physical stamina to stand extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work evenings, graveyards, holidays, weekends, and irregular shifts

Job Duties
- Presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service to patrons
- possesses a strong knowledge of food, spirits, wine, champagne and cocktails
- provides a positive and efficient dining experience for guests
- provides tray service
- large and small trays
- provides excellent guest service
- relays orders to the cook and serves courses from the kitchen and service bar areas
- tends to guests, responds to any additional requests, and is knowledgeable of the service sequence and coursing is properly followed
- performs food running for the venues
- keeps floors and work area clean
- takes orders and may be required to prepare non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for guests
- serves alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages to casino guests and ensures legal drinking age compliance according to Arizona liquor law and casino controls
- computes bills and accepts payments, must have basic math skills
- operates and enters orders into the POS system with minimal errors
- ensures compliance with all tribal, city, state and federal health and food safety codes
- maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized work area
- performs seating, bussing and table setting, and keeps the floor clear of debris
- adheres to Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and TOGE internal controls
- polishes silverware and glassware
- completes side work assigned by the Venue Manager
- maintains communication with team members and guests and fosters a professional work environment
- maintains proper attendance
- assists in efficient, cost and labor effective daily restaurant operations
- assists in training new team members
- demonstrates courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to guests and team members
- contributes to team efforts
- serves guests promptly and courteously
- operates the POS cash register
- monitors guests for intoxication and follows procedures when necessary
- stays informed about all Food and Beverage outlets and casino promotions
- ensures seamless service delivery with other departments
- displays Desert Diamond Casino's Spirit of Service Standards
- travels between casino properties as needed
- flexibly assumes other assigned duties as required
