Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must successfully pass background check
- must successfully pass drug screening
- must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per federal, state, and gaming/lottery regulations
Job Qualifications
- two months of on-the-job training or two years of related serving experience
- knowledge of food, beverage, and wine service
- knowledge of table service procedures and etiquette
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to present a professional appearance with enthusiasm and outgoing personality
- flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
- effective communication skills with employees and guests
- ability to restock materials and retrieve dropped items
- ability to transport trays and plates weighing up to 50 pounds
- proficiency with coffee machines, beverage dispensers, microwaves, toasters, and point-of-service systems
Job Duties
- create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Sacramento at Fire Mountain for gaming entertainment
- build and retain guest relations
- act as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service
- greet guests with a friendly and courteous manner
- inform guests of daily specials and menu offerings
- serve as an information center representative
- assist guests with menu and beverage selection demonstrating salesmanship
- ensure guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to complaints
- maintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance
- carry out duties with attention to sanitation and safety
- anticipate and provide for guest needs
- perform inventories and assigned duties
- perform tableside cooking, salad entrees, desserts, and wine service
- attend and participate in meetings and complete follow-up
- perform work regularly and predictably
- assist in special events including carving, cooking, setup, and teardown
- perform other duties as assigned
