Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Good physical stamina
  • Customer-oriented attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Basic math skills for handling payments

Job Duties

  • Understand completely and articulate the details of all food and beverage menus
  • Make appropriate recommendations and take guests' orders
  • Read the table and determine the correct approach
  • Anticipate what the guests want and do not want
  • Promote and support the restaurants' overall philosophy
  • Communicate with floor managers
  • Monitor food delivery and beverage service
  • Perform all technical service functions during the course of a service
  • Stay up to date on any menu changes during service
  • Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • Maintain a working knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time
  • Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner
