Job Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules
  • availability to work weekends and Mondays
  • prior server experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and established service protocols
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • ability to operate restaurant equipment safely
  • ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately
  • willingness to undergo training as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience as a server preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • attention to detail in food handling and sanitation
  • basic knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and Mondays
  • knowledge of specialized diets and allergens is a plus

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and flexibility when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisors
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
