Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a fine-dining restaurant, hotel, or resort preferred
- ability to work full-time with open availability including weekends
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- reliable and punctual
- ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking and standing for extended periods
- willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous fine-dining restaurant, hotel, or resort experience preferred
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- strong knowledge of food and beverage menus
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- knowledgeable about food allergies and special dietary needs
- experience with cash handling and service equipment operation
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicates directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- collects payment tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes and maintains a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and communicates them to supervisors
- ensures dining room setup before and after service periods
- operates service equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- collaborates with other department staff during special events and functions
