Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED or work equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food service preferred
- Previous training in liquor, wine, and food service preferred
- Certification in alcohol awareness program preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Good understanding of English
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to carry a large oval tray with 6 covered dinners
- Ability to lift and transport at least 50 pounds
- Ability to push/pull carts and equipment up to 150 pounds
- Ability to stand and work for up to 8 hours
- Availability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

- Previous guest/customer relations training
- Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages

- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to carry a large oval tray with 6 covered dinners
- Ability to exert physical effort lifting and transporting at least 50 pounds
- Ability to push/pull carts and equipment up to 150 pounds
- Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work area
- Ability to stand and maintain mobility for up to 8 hours
- Willingness to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Be in proper uniform, with nametag
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Work to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with guests as well as team members
- Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, room rates, promotions, daily house count, and group activities
- Greet and escort customers to their tables
- Present menu and provide detailed information, including portions, ingredients, and potential allergies
- Prepare tables with linens, silverware, and glasses
- Inform customers about daily specials
- Offer menu recommendations and upsell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS or memorization
- Check customers' IDs to ensure legal age for alcohol consumption
- Communicate order details to kitchen staff
- Serve food and drink orders promptly
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to kitchen
- Follow health department regulations
- Maintain guest confidentiality
- Assist in handling emergencies to protect guests and property
- Abide by company and brand policies and procedures
