Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift 20 to 25 pounds

  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • Make guests feel comfortable and attended to personally
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Make genuine recommendations to guests
  • Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions
  • Take and enter food and beverage orders using point-of-sale system
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly from kitchen and bar to guests
  • Perform side work at the start and end of shifts
  • Maintain clean service areas
  • Monitor guests dining experience and ensure satisfaction
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
  • Prepare and present the final bill
  • Accept payments and process credit card charges or make change
  • Assist fellow servers as needed
  • Help bus persons with clearing and resetting tables
  • Thank guests and invite them to return
  • Fill in as needed for smooth restaurant operation
  • Attend employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
