Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to specific weight e.g. 25 lbs
- capable of standing and walking for long periods
- ability to perform tasks requiring bending reaching and manual dexterity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a food service or hospitality role particularly in senior living or healthcare settings is a plus
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to serve others
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively
- strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Greet residents and their guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly
- serve meals and beverages in a timely and courteous manner
- ensure tables are set and cleared appropriately between courses
- assist residents with dining needs such as cutting food or providing utensils while maintaining dignity and respect
- maintain a clean and organized dining area including resetting tables and cleaning spills or messes
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure meal quality and accommodate special dietary requirements
- engage with residents to create a positive dining experience including providing menu recommendations or answering questions about meal options
- assist with special events and functions as needed
- adhere to all health and safety regulations including food handling and sanitation guidelines
- attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
