Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in food service or related role preferred
Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to stand for long periods and carry moderate weight
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
Commitment to health and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

Requires NYC food handler's certificate
Must be able to work one weekend day as part of shift
Verification of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Job Duties

Serving three meals daily for 50-200 residents as well as snacks with attention to dietary restrictions
Shifts are 3 hours each with flexibility to work 1-3 shifts daily for breakfast lunch or dinner
Keeping hot food hot and cold food cold with no exceptions
Supervising the serving of meals
Operating kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Assisting in storage control and management of all stock according to regulations and procedures
Ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
Supporting daily weekly and monthly cleaning of kitchen equipment and food service areas
