Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living
- Food Safety Certification within 90 days of taking the position
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Maintain ServeSafe certification
- Ability to comply with safety procedures including PPE and Lockout Tagout
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Ability to attend required trainings and meetings
- Pass pre-employment drug test and health screenings as required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide support in day-to-day dining room operations while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe environment for residents and team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of daily and always available menu items and provide general descriptions to residents
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond to questions about menu items
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve according to guidelines
- Respond to dining needs while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards
- Attend pre-meal briefings to gain knowledge of meal and support activities
- Follow all local, state/provincial, and federal food handling policies
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health
- Perform dining room checklist inspections for cleanliness and readiness
- Maintain side work duties
- Maintain assigned tables and surrounding area in cleanliness and readiness
- Perform dining room set-up and re-set tables according to procedures
- Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
- Perform opening and closing checklists
- Assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
- Review and notate the Daily Log for pertinent information
- Review Resident Diet Book or confidential chart
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Practice safe food handling to prevent foodborne illness
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments
- Maintain work areas in a healthy and safe condition
- Assist in organizing dining room flow, supplies, and placement
- Partner with team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- Participate actively as a team member working toward team goals
- Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and processes
- Attend regular meetings such as Town Hall and Department Team meetings
- Maintain compliance with all required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
