Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- must be Food Safety Certified within 90 days of taking the position
- maintain CPR and First Aid certifications as required
- maintain ServeSafe certification as required
- comply with safety and training requirements
- ability to work in compliance with federal, state, and local food handling regulations
- pass pre-employment drug test and physical evaluations
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations as mandated by law
- ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
- sign Driver job description if driving a Sunrise vehicle
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

Job Duties
- Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe environment
- provide dining service training to new care managers
- maintain knowledge of menu items and assist residents with menu selections
- take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to guidelines
- attend pre-meal briefings to understand meal and support activities
- follow all food handling policies and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- perform dining room checklist inspections and make adjustments to maintain quality
- maintain side work duties and assigned tables in cleanliness and readiness
- assist in dining room setup and reset tables
- support dining room decorum and etiquette
- complete opening and closing checklists
- assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
- review and document pertinent information from the Daily Log
- review Resident Diet Book or confidential chart
- maintain confidentiality of resident information
- practice safe food handling to prevent food borne illness
- complete cleaning assignments regularly
- maintain all work areas in a healthy and safe condition
- assist with dining room organization and supplies placement
- ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- practice safety procedures including use of PPE and fire extinguishers
- participate as a committed team member working toward team goals
- demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- contribute to engagement programs
- attend regular meetings as directed
- maintain compliance with required training
- perform other duties as assigned
