Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Must be Food Safety Certified within 90 days of employment
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Maintain ServeSafe certification and ongoing training
- Ability to follow all local, state, and federal food handling policies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to team goals
- Ability to comply with safety procedures including use of PPE and other safety equipment
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Must be Food Safety Certified within 90 days of taking the position
- Maintain certifications and ongoing training as required including CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and fellow team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to the residents
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond to pertinent questions about menu items
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to established guidelines
- Respond to the dining needs of the residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards
- Attend pre-meal briefing to gain knowledge of the meal and meal support activities
