Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year experience in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living preferred
  • Food Safety Certified within 90 days of taking the position
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • ServeSafe certification
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe environment for residents and team members
  • Provide dining service training to new care managers
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and assist residents with menu selections
  • Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to guidelines
  • Attend pre-meal briefings to gain knowledge of meals and support activities
  • Maintain dining room cleanliness and readiness through checklist inspections
  • Perform dining room setup and reassignment according to procedures
  • Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
  • Review and document daily logs and resident dietary information
  • Practice safe food handling and sanitation protocols
  • Complete cleaning assignments and maintain work areas in a healthy and safe condition
  • Support risk management and safety compliance including use of PPE and adherence to regulations
  • Participate actively as a team member and contribute to team goals
  • Maintain compliance with required training and certifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned
