Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living
- Must obtain Food Safety Certification within 90 days of taking the position
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Maintain ServeSafe certification
- Ability to follow safety procedures including use of PPE
- Ability to complete required training and comply with regulatory standards
- Pass a drug test
- Comply with health screenings and vaccination requirements as mandated by federal, state, and local authorities
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and fellow team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to residents
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond to questions about menu items
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve items according to guidelines
- Respond to residents dining needs while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards
- Attend pre-meal briefing to gain meal knowledge and support activities
- Follow all local, state, provincial, and federal policies on food handling
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
- Perform dining room checklist inspections and maintain quality standards
- Maintain side work duties
- Ensure dining room set-up and reset of tables meets procedures
- Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
- Complete opening and closing checklist criteria
- Assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
- Review and initial Daily Log to document pertinent information
- Review Resident Diet Book or confidential chart
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Practice safe food handling to prevent food borne illness
- Complete cleaning assignments
- Maintain healthy and safe work areas
- Assist in dining room organization and supply placement
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Use personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures
- Participate as a team member and work toward team goals
- Demonstrate Team Member Credo in interactions
- Commit to serving residents through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and attend meetings
- Maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
