Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to high school diploma
- Previous experience in food service or related field preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform active duties
- Must adhere to HIPAA and PCI confidentiality guidelines
- Willingness to learn and undergo training
- Ability to maintain positivity and professionalism under pressure
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write in English
- University of Missouri Food Handler’s certificate within one month
- Additional license or certification as required by the hiring department
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of food safety and infection control procedures
Job Duties
- Work with medical staff, ancillary professional staff, departmental service staff, patients, visitors, and the general public
- Use a high degree of professionalism focused on customer satisfaction
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Greet people with a smile and maintain positive communication
- Follow directives of management related to work assignments and improvement areas
- Perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment ensuring food safety and infection control
- Perform all food service related activities including transporting and delivering patient trays, cashier duties, food preparation, catering, barista work, line serving, and patient tray assembly with accuracy and food safety techniques
