Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer or food service preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling standards
  • Follow up periodically with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens
  • Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodations
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and escalate to supervisors as necessary
  • Ensure the dining room is set up properly before and after service and meets sanitation standards
  • Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
