Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- must be able to work well with peers
- must maintain compassion and dignity to residents
- able to read, write, speak and understand English
- comply with attendance policies and terms of employment
- able to work intermittently throughout the day
- must cope with mental and emotional stress
- able to meet general health requirements including medical and physical exams
- provide annual negative TB test
- able to see and hear or use prosthetics
- must adhere to all facility policies and safety standards
- able to lift 25-pound trays overhead

Job Duties
- Provide meals and beverages to residents in the dining room
- set up and clean up dining room for meal service
- take attendance at meals if assigned
- offer residents beverages prior to meal including water, juice, milk or other desired drinks
- ensure appropriate condiments are available
- prepare the dining room for meal service
- participate in pre-service meetings and tastings
- be knowledgeable about menu items including daily specials and special diet accommodations
- ensure food orders are correct prior to serving
- serve meals in courses as often as possible
- confirm resident satisfaction with meal presentation
- inform kitchen of any resident meal concerns
- remain available during meal service for assistance
- notify medical staff immediately of medical emergencies or changes in eating habits
- work closely with food and beverage team and nursing staff
- follow safety and food sanitation policies
- wear appropriate uniform and maintain hygiene standards
- clean and maintain dining room, including floor and furniture
- maintain positive and accommodating attitude towards residents
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
