Job Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age
Have reliable means of transportation

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an asset
Ability to provide service in an accurate and timely manner
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job duties and interact with residents, families and employees

Job Duties

Efficiently serve food and beverages to tables for restaurant style service
Handles all service ware correctly
Accurately provide information about the meal presented including offering suggestions and answering questions
Observe diners to fulfill additional requests and monitor meal completion by circulating throughout the dining room
Remove dishes during and after the meal efficiently to maintain sanitation standards
Wash and set up tables according to rules of etiquette including clean linen, silverware and glassware
Check cleanliness of chairs and condiments
Restock supplies as needed prior to meal service
Initiate cross training in hosting and serving to aid personal growth
Complete all side work before, during and after meal service efficiently
Clean and sanitize department storage, refrigeration/freezer, equipment, utensils, waste containers as assigned
Participate in daily catering set-up, execution and clean-up
