Job Requirements
- one (1) year experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or food service establishment
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must successfully complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire
- must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License upon hire
- must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- will require a pre-employment and random drug screening
- high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent preferred
- must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
- must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- punctual and regular attendance
- ability to perform basic math calculations and pass a basic math test
- ability to follow instructions
- maintain highest personal hygiene standards

- knowledge of menu offerings including ingredients, cooking methods, and presentation
- knowledge of beverage selection including wines, cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic options
- ability to deal effectively and professionally with the general public and be attentive to customer’s needs
- strong commitment to the organization
- knowledge of Tribal, federal, state and local sanitary regulations regarding the preparation, maintenance, storage and sales of food/drink products
Job Duties
- provides excellent customer service and always establishes guest perception of restaurant service as that of exceptional hospitality and friendliness
- manages orders from guests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to special requests, while coordinating with kitchen and bar staff
- promotes menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue through upselling and suggestive selling techniques
- adheres to all applicable laws and regulations governing alcohol service, including age verification and responsible beverage service practices
- monitors and intervenes service to guests who appear intoxicated, and handles challenging situations with tact and diplomacy, notifies an on-duty supervisor to follow up with the guests
- maintains thorough knowledge of property information regarding restaurants, entertainment, lounges, marketing promotions, upcoming events as well as local points of interest
- processes payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and any forms of payment accordingly to established procedures
- responsible for all opening and closing side work duties as assigned by management
