Job Requirements
- Proof of age
- associates who will be serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverages must be at least 18 years old, with some states requiring 21
- completion of basic food handling training and obtaining local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit as required
- completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- energetic and friendly attitude during shifts
- excellent guest service skills
- accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- strong interpersonal communication skills including effective conversation and comprehension in English
- ability to work in a team environment and independently
- ability to take and follow direction
- physical ability to bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
- capability to stand for extended periods
- ability to work in a noisy environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in customer service or food and beverage industry is advantageous
- basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- strong interpersonal and communication skills including verbal and written proficiency in English
- ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- demonstrated capability to take and follow direction
- familiarity with safe alcohol service practices is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and correct ticket distribution
- verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitor safety and security issues and report to management
- perform other work-related duties as assigned
