Job Requirements

  • Proof of age
  • associates who will be serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverages must be at least 18 years old, with some states requiring 21
  • completion of basic food handling training and obtaining local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit as required
  • completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • regular and consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly attitude during shifts
  • excellent guest service skills
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills including effective conversation and comprehension in English
  • ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • ability to take and follow direction
  • physical ability to bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • capability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in a noisy environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in customer service or food and beverage industry is advantageous
  • basic math skills for accurate cash handling
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills including verbal and written proficiency in English
  • ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • demonstrated capability to take and follow direction
  • familiarity with safe alcohol service practices is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and correct ticket distribution
  • verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • monitor safety and security issues and report to management
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
