Job Requirements
- Proof of age, associates who serve alcohol must be 18 or older and 21 in some states
- completes basic food handling training and obtains any required local or state certification
- completes safe alcohol service training program
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- requires regular and consistent attendance
- energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- provides excellent guest service
- accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- interpersonal skills capable of verbal and written communication with all ages and personalities
- ability to work in team and independently
- ability to take and follow direction
- responds with a sense of urgency
- frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- frequent standing, walking, and reaching
- able to work standing for extended periods
- able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food or beverage service is an advantage
- strong interpersonal and communication skills including ability to effectively converse in English
- ability to operate cash registers accurately
- knowledge of safe alcohol service practices
- customer service oriented with a friendly and energetic attitude
- ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- capacity to follow directions and respond with a sense of urgency
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and logging off
- verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
- performs other work-related duties as assigned
