Job Requirements

  • Proof of age, associates who serve alcohol must be 18 or older and 21 in some states
  • completes basic food handling training and obtains any required local or state certification
  • completes safe alcohol service training program
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • requires regular and consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • provides excellent guest service
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • interpersonal skills capable of verbal and written communication with all ages and personalities
  • ability to work in team and independently
  • ability to take and follow direction
  • responds with a sense of urgency
  • frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • frequent standing, walking, and reaching
  • able to work standing for extended periods
  • able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food or beverage service is an advantage
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills including ability to effectively converse in English
  • ability to operate cash registers accurately
  • knowledge of safe alcohol service practices
  • customer service oriented with a friendly and energetic attitude
  • ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • capacity to follow directions and respond with a sense of urgency

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and logging off
  • verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
  • performs other work-related duties as assigned
