Job Requirements

  • Proof of age for alcohol service (minimum 18, in some states 21)
  • completion of basic food handling training and obtaining necessary food handler permits
  • must complete safe alcohol service training
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • regular and consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly demeanor
  • excellent guest service skills
  • accurate cash handling and basic math abilities
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to comprehend and converse effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • ability to follow directions
  • physical ability to bend, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods
  • tolerance for moderate to high noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • basic food handling training and certification as required by local or state laws
  • completion of safe alcohol service training program
  • ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
  • strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members
  • ability to work in team environments and independently
  • comfortable handling cash and performing basic math

  • flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • responsible for all transactions done on assigned register, including proper cash balance and reporting concerns to management
  • verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • use suggestive selling techniques consistently
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position-specific tasks
  • adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • monitor safety and security issues and report to management
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
