Job Requirements
- Proof of age (must be at least 18, some states require 21, to serve alcohol)
- Completion of basic food handling training and relevant local or state certifications
- Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during shifts
- Providing excellent guest service
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
- Ability to take and follow directions
- Responds with a sense of urgency
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
- Ability to handle moderate to high noise levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of Safe Alcohol Service practices
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication in English
- Energetic and friendly attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance, distributing correct tickets or inventory associated with each sale, properly logging off when away from register, and reporting any concerns to a manager
- Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitor safety and security issues including trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, and report to management
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
