Job Requirements

  • Proof of age
  • Completion of basic food handling training and any state or local food handler certification if required
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Responds with a sense of urgency
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
  • Comfort working in environments with moderate to high noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is advantageous but not required
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written English proficiency
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Capability to follow directions accurately
  • Basic math skills and cash handling experience
  • Energetic and friendly attitude
  • Able to engage with guests of all ages and backgrounds
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (or 21 in certain states) to serve alcohol

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance, ticket distribution, and reporting any concerns to a manager
  • Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
