Job Requirements

  • Proof of age to serve alcoholic beverages (minimum 18 years old or 21 in some states)
  • Completion of basic food handling training and any required local or state certification
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Ability to respond with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and reach
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a moderate to high noise environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic cash handling and math skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safe alcohol service practices
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance, ticket distribution, and logging off when away
  • Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
  • Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitor safety and security issues and report to management
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
