Job Requirements
- Proof of age showing eligibility to serve, pour, or mix alcoholic beverages (minimum 18 years old, 21 in some states)
- Completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
- Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program for those working with alcohol
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Provide excellent guest service
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to take and follow directions
- Respond with a sense of urgency
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in moderate to high noise levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills and accurate cash handling experience
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and respond with urgency
- Energetic and friendly attitude with a passion for guest service
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and correct ticket distribution
- Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
- Use suggestive selling techniques consistently
- Wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas regularly
- Monitor safety and security issues and report to management
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
