Job Requirements

  • Proof of age showing eligibility to serve, pour, or mix alcoholic beverages (minimum 18 years old, 21 in some states)
  • Completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program for those working with alcohol
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Provide excellent guest service
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Respond with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in moderate to high noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Basic math skills and accurate cash handling experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and respond with urgency
  • Energetic and friendly attitude with a passion for guest service

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and correct ticket distribution
  • Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
  • Use suggestive selling techniques consistently
  • Wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas regularly
  • Monitor safety and security issues and report to management
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
