Job Requirements

  • Proof of age for serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverages (usually 18 or 21 depending on state)
  • Basic food handling training and any required certification or permits
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to take and follow direction
  • Ability to respond with urgency

Job Qualifications

  • Proof of age for serving alcohol as required by law
  • Completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Energetic and friendly attitude
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to take and follow direction
  • Ability to respond with a sense of urgency

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance, distributing correct tickets or inventory, logging off when away from register, and reporting concerns to management
  • Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
  • Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
