Job Requirements
- Proof of age as required by state laws for alcohol service
- completion of basic food handling training and acquisition of any necessary local or state certification or permits
- successful completion of safe alcohol service training program
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- ability to provide excellent guest service
- accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- strong interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse guests
- ability to work in a team environment and independently
- ability to follow instructions and maintain urgency
- capability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and working in a noisy environment for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in customer service or food and beverage roles beneficial
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to manage cash transactions accurately
- knowledge of safe alcohol service practices
- ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- proficiency in English for verbal and written communication
- ability to follow directions and respond with urgency
- energetic and friendly attitude
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and logging off appropriately
- verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
- performs other work-related duties as assigned
