Job Requirements
- Proof of age with associates serving or pouring alcohol required to be at least 18 or 21 depending on state laws
- completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certifications or permits
- completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program for those working with alcohol
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- energetic and friendly attitude during shifts
- excellent guest service skills
- accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- capable of effectively communicating in English
- ability to work both independently and in a team
- ability to follow directions
- responds with a sense of urgency
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a customer service role is an asset
- familiarity with basic food and beverage handling
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- capable of working independently and as part of a team
- accuracy in cash handling and basic math skills
- strong interpersonal skills including ability to interact with diverse groups
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and reporting concerns
- verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
- performs other work-related duties as assigned
