Job Requirements

  • Proof of age (18 years or older in some states, 21 in others) to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Completion of basic food handling training and obtaining any necessary local or state certification or permits
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Consistent and regular attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during shifts
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must respond with urgency and follow direction
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to work in noisy environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, especially alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and accurate cash handling experience
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must complete Safe Alcohol Service training program if serving alcohol

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items to enhance the guest experience
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Handle all transactions on assigned register, ensuring proper cash balance and logging off securely
  • Verify guest identification to confirm legal drinking age for alcohol transactions
  • Ensure alcohol is consumed only in designated areas
  • Use suggestive selling techniques consistently
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food order accuracy
  • Wipe down and sanitize high-contact areas regularly
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required
  • Monitor safety and security concerns and report to management
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
