Job Requirements
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to efficiently take and deliver food and beverage orders
- knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- effective communication skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- capability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- physically able to stand and move for extended periods
- willingness to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, and weekends
- ability to collaborate with back-of-the-house and other departments
- sensitivity to guest needs and confidentiality maintenance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous food service experience beneficial but not mandatory
- strong customer service skills
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- teamwork and interpersonal skills
- basic math skills for cash handling
- flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relations with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
